From 34 years of business leadership in Canada to empowering English learners across Vietnam.
34 Years in Corporate & Public Business
Before becoming an English teacher, Dan spent 34 years working in municipal and provincial business environments in Toronto. This background provides real-world communication, leadership, and practical problem-solving skills — helping students speak confidently in professional international settings.
TEFL Certification at SEE TEFL
Graduated from the professional TEFL teacher training course in Chiang Mai. Dan began his journey of teaching English with a deep love for Southeast Asian culture and a commitment to helping students overcome speaking anxiety.
Teaching in Vietnamese Schools & Institutions
Taught at private high schools, language centers, and kindergartens across Vietnam. Dan personally guided hundreds of Vietnamese learners — from 3-year-olds to IELTS students and working professionals.
Pandemic "Pay-It-Forward" Zoom Classes
During the 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dan hosted online conversational English classes on Zoom 100% free of charge. Instead of tuition fees, Dan encouraged students to pay kindness forward by helping others or volunteering locally.

Partnered with Võ Thái Sang (Web Developer & neighbor) and My Huynh (Vietnamese English Teacher) to build this free learning platform — delivering hundreds of free conversational lessons, videos, pronunciation guides, and practice resources for English learners worldwide.
